I love to travel and visit other cultures as well as see nature in all its variations. I've been fortunate enough to see all 7 continents and over 50 countries. Hope to get to over 100 countries within the next 10 years and visit all the Earth's major biomes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Love meeting people from all over the world and hearing their dreams. Want to be able to help other travelers with their goals and provide a good introduction to the DC area. I'm pretty familiar with not only DC but a lot of great places to experience nature within the surrounding area.

Interests

I love nature which includes geology, plant identification, birding, and ecology. DC is great in that you can be in very different environments quickly--the coastal plain, piedmont, blue ridge mountains, and valley and ridge physiographic areas. The D.C. area and Virginia has lots of history (back to 1609 with the British settlements) and a lot to do.
