About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Working as a Management Consultant for KPMG in London, living in Brixton.

ABOUT ME

27 year old, in the last year I’ve been to Colombia, the USA, Poland and am about to cycle from Nantes to Biarritz. In the past I’ve couchsurfed and travelled for 5 months through Central America and the US. Love Cricket, happy to teach, even carrying my own little bat around with me!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I couchsurfed around the US for the people. I find staying with hosts by far the best way to see a new place. I'm here for the people and the food. I've found a host can show me the gems off the beaten track, teach me things I'd never even think of learning and show me a place from their perspective, one I could never hope to experience from a hotel or hostel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted while a student in Bristol, and regularly host now in my flat in London.

I surfed across the U.S. in Dallas, Atlanta, Washington DC, Philadelphia and New York.

Currently hosting in London, UK.

Interests

Cricket, History and Food are my passions. Don't worry if you don't know cricket, I can explain and get you interested in no time. I always travel with a small cricket set to teach and play with.

I'm also a 2nd Dan Black belt in Karate, with 17 years' experience.

I've been learning Spanish for the last 4 months and LOVE speaking it with people, especially native speakers.

Music, Movies, and Books

House of Cards is the best thing I've ever seen. Must see films include Rocky, In Bruges, 300, anything Tarantino or Monty Python.

I love reading historical fiction, Conn Iggulden, Robert Harris and Bernard Cornwell are all great. I'm also really into personal development and improving myself and my social skills - anyone who takes an interest in these tends to find me (and I find them) great company.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Learning Spanish in Guatemala: there are few better feelings than being able to communicate with someone who speaks no, or little English.

I've done Karate for 16 years, have a 2nd Dan black belt and have fought on the England National Team in Sweden and Austria.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love debate

I have an enormous bank of information about the most random things. I find I can have a conversation about almost anything, and love to learn - if I've not heard of something, or done something before I believe in jumping in and learning as much as I can, especially if it's from someone who has a passion for that thing.

Anyone who speaks Spanish will be especially welcome
