ABOUT ME
My friends would tell you that I'm curious. I never say no to an idea and I like people who don't say no to mine. I study engineering and am starting just now with public policy on how to protect coral reefs. I just came back from a year living in Spain working to desalinate water. I can hold a good conversation and am up for about everything.
Interests
So, yeah, I'm an engineer. But it's always been hard for me to choose things or define myself in one way. I do theater (act, write), read a lot (favorites - vonnegut, steinbeck, dostoyevsky, schopenhauer), paint (nothing for the parentheses here), run track competitively (steeplechase!), play guitar (a bit poorly), juggle (up to 4!), 3 card monte (don't bet your money), and love to travel. I do things like hike and camp a bunch. I don't know, if I haven't tried it I probably haven't thought of it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I got trapped in a hole once while I was white water rafting. It was one of these things that churn in circles throwing you up and back down, up and back down. I could get a snippet of air before plunging under again. It seemed like I was caught for hours, but I think it was just maybe 15-20 seconds. I was just 13 or something and I'm pretty sure this is the closest to death I've been.
I jumped off a pretty high bridge in Boston in a thunderstorm. Hard to describe the raw power of nature.
Found a seemingly undiscovered (or at least unmolested) cave in Croatia. Got to look around.
