About Me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet like minded individuals and explore our beautiful earth.

Interests

I wouldn't say I'm the "earthy" type ( whatever that is) but I do love nature . There's a general sense of serenity and wholesomeness among the trees that one can't find anywhere else. I believe it's all of our responsibility to protect, preserve / conserve, and remediate our natural resources .

  • anything outdoors

Music, Movies, and Books

Depends on my mood- Music, anything but country. Books, nonfiction / educational. Movies/ television, don't really watch tv.....but when I do I watch crime tv/ documurders/ forensic files. And as far as movies go , I'm not sure when I last went to a theater. I'd say I enjoy cult classics- goonies, breakfast club, etc. And obscure ones like boxing helena, Tarentino types, little known titles.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I have seen is. .. a few years ago a good friend of mine got into a motorcycle wreck , with no helmet , going 45 miles an hour. Paramedics performed cpr and all that entails on his life flight to the hospital He was put on a respirator and basically " life support" after surgeons removed his skull cap to stop the bleeds and allow for swelling. His brain function was minimal and the doctors had no doubt that he would more than likely die or at very least have lasting massive brain damage and be in a persistent vegetative state. He was in a deep coma for 7 days. His family refused to remove him off of life support. Lo and behold, after catching up on his sleep- he walked out of the hospital after only 6 weeks. On his own, no rehab, no therapy, no residual effects whatsoever. However, he did have to go back to have his skull cap removed from his stomach (put there to preserve it) and put back where it belonged. Now if that is not freaking amazing I don't know what is.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer hosts assistance with cooking, cleaning, doing anything outside- gardening, animal care .And a very eager student if they are willing to educate me about their lives.
