I have moved back to the UK after living in Australia to enhance my life, by advancing my career, meeting new people and making friends and to learn about defence cultures and places, experiencing all kinds of wonders, events and travel.

I love great company, especially a good story teller, food and wine and laughter.

I am couch surfing so I am not alone nor lonely. So I experience the real parts of a country, its people and culture rather than what is just in the guide books.

I have places on my list but like everything in life the recommendations of friends is always valuable.

Sailing each year from Cottelsoe to Rottnest for the charity swim “Cotto to Rotto” I can pull in the sheets.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to...
Jazz, Soul, R&B mostly old or older, World Music, Alternative, some Pop, Dance music I love house style tracks - I do like my vocals plus I enjoy to sing anywhere, anytime and a good sing along. Opera and Classical, Rock (My #1 Led Zeppelin Stairway to heaven, it is poetry) I can go on and on.

A great drama or thriller something that makes me think, a good who done it and of course a great comedy and the chance to have a laugh should never be passed up.

Can't do horror I am way too jumpy, I even jump when I know its coming. Disturbing I know.

I don't read novels I am too slow and too impatient, never can make enough time to get from cover to cover, I would rather be outside. I do admire those who can however, I do like to read about factual topics, places, architecture, design(ers) to name a few.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Most recent, I got on a plane from Australia, one way ticket, left family, friends and a life behind to follow my dreams. I gave up my home and I am living out of a suitcase (of no fixed abode) and house and pet sitting until I get settled into a permanent job.

I was not happy with what my life was offering me and I felt so small. I was living what people call a “normal life” (whatever that is) everyday seemed the same, I wanted to free my spirit and open my mind to new possibilities. I wanted a different life, a fuller life - so I have CHANGED IT.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach about people and place, Australia is very multi-cultural and I want to learn about everywhere else, I can share my travel adventures albeit limited – so far. I am getting a crash course on England at the moment.

I want to be able to listen to other people’s experiences and dreams and share mine along with hopes and my aspirations for the future.

I want to learn about different cultures and not what is just different in us but also the same.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share many things with a host, I am a great house guest, I was "dragged up right" taught to always leave a place better than you found it. I can help with cooking and cleaning and am a dap hand in the garden. Being an Interior Designer I can also solicit advise on your space if you want it.

I am very entertaining some of the time by accident, some of the things I do, I do have to laugh at myself, it can go beyond the "Blonde Moment", you too can laugh with me.

I can share my experiences by the art of communication and listen to theirs, we can share friendship and most importantly share a laugh and create some wonderful memories to be treasured.

Oh! And I can tell a good joke; unfortunately I only seem to remember the dirty ones.
