About Me
Hello! :)
My name is Paula, I'm from Barcelona , but currently I am living in Beirut, in Lebanon . My two big interests are politics and art. I'm currently studying History of art and Art Curating in Beirut. I enjoying having conversations on both topics, especially politics and art in the Middle East, and I'm passionate about the middle point where both disciplines mix.
I am very interested in the Middle East (society, culture, politics, food , religions, literature..) and most of my traveling has been around this area. Appart from spending some time in Beirut and integrating into local initatives with refugee communities, I have also worked in Amman in an art therapy initative with refugees, and I have been visiting Palestine, where I have been doing a small research on the contemporary art scene and art centers in refugee camps.
My hobbies are reading , writing, music (I play the flute:) ) and photography.
I love learning from people and there are always some teachings you can take from good conversations. I am also very willing for some language exchange, I speak fluent Spanish, English and French, and I'm currently working on my Arabic and Italian. I am someone very curious and always eager to learn from the people I encounter along my way. This is why I like traveling through couchsurfing, as it potentiates beautiful encounters! 😊
