I have lived in SW michigan all my life, born and raised with 3 short moves to Tennessee, New Jersey and florida. I am christian, honest, creative, fun loving, young at heart, always ready to meet new people, learn something new! And visit all USA National parks! Avid gardener, raise's and shelters butterflies" retired and ready to explore the next journey of my life!

Interests

I love visiting a new town, whether it is around the corner or across the state! I love to travel the USA, we have such great places to see and amazing friendly people! I love gardening and taught traditional Crafts for 32 yrs so I was blessed to have a career that was my " Hobby"!! I love to volunteer for many kinds if events, usllay fund raisers or something doing with a important awareness issues! I currently joined a really cool church "metro city church.tv, really cool, they reach out thru out Detroit, but focus on teens and young adults! They are really different as in their church is really a concert venue type atmosphere, they have 3 bands, focusing on age appropriate music! I have just started a elimination diet of all foods adding only gluten free organic, with very little chicken and fish! I love meeting new people and visiting "national parks"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After retiring from teaching"traditional crafts" to a work injury! I have been visiting "National Parks" I had not realized how many I have been too over 60 yrs! On my bucket list is to visit all USA coast national parks, and city's! I have done all east coast 1/2 of west coast, 3/4 of gulf! Last year I drove to maine to be a "volunteer" for the "sky festival" Arcdia national park, sept 25-30 ( every year check it out) i did not know anyone! I drove 17 hrs straight to get to my shift at 7;30 pm( yes I did take 3 -2 hr rests) I met many great people absconded Maine! My next bucket list is the "Albuquerque ballon festival" I have watched it several years! On "tv" this is my year! I have been excepted as a "volunteer" Iam so excited! Yet it us such a shirt notice - I do mot have a hotel as if yet! so that's why I am here! I have also just joined thev"Detroit" CS group senecio my first "pot luck" it was so much fun! I feel as if I have traveled all over the world! Listening to everyones travel experience and looking at their photos, has gotten me excited that I have the rest of my life to travel and be part of such a great group of people! The host and hostess Marty and Kathy Peters, were very gracious, they are the perfect ambassadors for "couch surfers"
