About Me

Polish girl, Film theory and Culture student. My friends would probably say I'm cheerful, friendly, talkative, easy-going and a little bit clumsy person. Yet, my best friends would for sure say I laugh in strange moments, I'm naive, disorganized latecomer, lucky in deadlock situations. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle.

PHILOSOPHY
"Every person has a certain horizon. When it narrows and becomes infinitely small, it changes into a point and then the person says: 'This is my point of view!'"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For people, why else? I'm not very experienced Couch Surfer yet, but all adventures I had with CS so far were amazingly great and I hope to keep that tendency on.

Music, Movies, and Books

My admiration to cinema started thanks to Milos Forman and Charlie Chaplin (yes, seriously. Have you ever seen any of Chaplin's full-lenght movies? That guy knew how to do magic out of cinema). I enjoy various types of films: from extensive Kubrick, through crazy Kusturica, then old Czech cinematography to Scorsese, Tarantino and some B-movies. Right now I'm all excited about German cinematography - currently the best craft in Europe in my humble opinion.
I love clever movie posters and atmosphere during film festivals.

I know it's already a popular catchphrase - but I really do listen to the music, not specific genres. I could say I like rock the most, but I was at reggae festivals, electronic concerts as well, I like to chill in places with calm dub in the background or jump with the crowd in ethno festivals. I like music festivals. Or maybe I just like festivals in general.

For me Russians used to make the most solid, yet the most sophisticated literature ever (Bulgakov, Dostoyevsky). At this point, hoping that anyone is still reading , I wanna make some publicity for Ryszard Kapuściński - polish traveller, war-correspondent and hell-great writer. Believe me, those are books you are looking for.
