About Me

Hello! I'm Pau, and I have a passion for the arts, nature, animals, and discovering new places and cultures, among other things. I am graphic designer and visual artist, currently, I balance my role as a freelance designer with crafting ceramics and creating mixed-media artworks through collage and painting. I am also passionate about teaching, both for children and university students. i'm interested in projects that use Art as a tool for well-being and also as a tool for social change; i love being part of cultural projects. Some of my works are at www.behance.net/paulegraphicarts.

Another of my passions is to travel, to adolescence I began my first trips to the mountains to make shelters with my friends, then I traveled a lot of Argentina, traveling through Bolivia, Brazil, thanks to my dual Italian citizenship I lived a year and a half in Europe, Italy and Spain, I was also touring the south of France, the Pyrenees and their colors. I like to know the customs of the different countries I go to, their meals, their ways of life and open my horizons to know other worlds beyond what I know. During the past year, I lived in Italy, and now I have just arrived in Copenhagen, eager to see what the future holds for me..

Other things I can tell you are that I really enjoy dancing, reading, horseback riding, and I am very interested in the holistic world, such as astrology, alternative therapies, and anything related to the realm of subtle energies. I also love engaging in conversations and philosophizing about profound life topics, although I am not very proficient in English yet as I am still learning it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It seems to me like a beautiful way to get to know people in their everyday lives and share experiences beyond the tourist circuit. I believe that the magic of a place lies in the people you encounter there.

Interests

Art in all its forms and colors! Art as a way to connect with life and the world, to express oneself, and to engage with people. I love discovering places in nature, exploring new ways of living and thinking, and sharing my Argentine mate with good conversation.

Music, Movies, and Books

Many, many different music genres and styles, including Gustavo Cerati, Queen, Lisandro Aristimuño, Mercedes Sosa, Silvio Rodriguez, Buena Vista Social Club, Pink Floyd, Coldplay, Nirvana, Guns N' Roses, Jack Johnson, among many others.

A book from my childhood, 'Mi planta de naranja lima'; one from adolescence, '1984' by George Orwell; an eye-opener, 'Las venas abiertas de América Latina'; and an eternal favorite, 'El principito' (The Little Prince). I enjoy movies that leave me pondering, reflecting, and seeking new 'whys,' such as 'The Butterfly Effect,' 'Deja Vu,' 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,' 'Big Fish,' 'Avatar,' 'Life is Beautiful,' among others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

To travel spontaneously through the jungle of Brazil, covering a great distance, crossing multiple rivers, using various modes of transportation, without knowing anything about the path ahead... and for that journey to have been marvelous!

Teach, Learn, Share

As a designer and a bit of an artist, I enjoy creating with various materials and in different forms. I have worked as an educator, and I love sharing my experience in this regard. I can show you my small world in the way I perceive it.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would like to share everything that crosses us and moves us as individuals. Having a conversation over some mate, exchanging languages, creating, dancing, and, of course, discovering new places.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In
