ABOUT ME

After 20 years in my hometown Berlin, I went on a music tour and discovered the cold but warmhearted Danish north. I decided to stay and study there :)
I play a lot of music, accompanied by my drummer Jon, swinging back and forth between gigs in Berlin and Copenhagen. Additionally I work as a guide on the canalboats and work as a volunteer in the non-profit Café Retro.
My friends say I am a cynical clown with a big heart; and yes, I love making fun of things, people or myself. Laughing makes everything lighter and removes a lot of that stupid severity that surrounds us. On the other hand I can definitely enjoy a glass of wine or two or three.. ;)

PHILOSOPHY

I just listen to my heart and do what feels right. That always brought me to where I ended up feeling comfortable.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I firstly got in touch with couchsurfers in the summer of 2011. I was on a interrail- tour with a friend and among others slept on couches in Brussel, on the west coast of France (Brest), Strasbourg and Karlsruhe.
I myself was a host once for a german lady, who stayed in Kopenhagen for a couple of days and an awesome crazy woman that came from Australia.

Interests

My heart is beating big time for music in general. And since I am musician I love to have music around most of the time. I bike everyday (am addicted to it) and love climbing! I love being active in gender politics and dance to hip hop!
All my semester breaks and long weekends are used to travel, no matter how near or far. Even if it is just a trip to the closest riverside. Do also like cooking, climbing and swimming very much :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I always discover new things and basically like all kinds of music. I always love listening to Ani Difranco and recently it's a lot of Hocus Pocus, Massive Attack, Hilltop Hoods, MC Lyte (in general all oldschool hip hop), Enders Room, Wax tailor, Daft Punk, Nina Simone, Nouvelle Vague, The Cure, Marcello D2, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Calle 13 and plenty more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The nightly sky in the mountains of southern France: Never seen that many starts before.
A skinny- dip in the bitterly cold Danish snow.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you how to play the guitar, make my famous spinach- pancakes or bike on a unicykle, if you want.
For my part,I am open for everything and happy about anything you want to show me :)
