ABOUT ME

We like people with the time to talk to us and share experiences about their life and homeland. We are Lotsa fun with insatiable curiosity. open minded and non judgemental. Both kinda geeky and hi tech. Paul Likes animals and babies, Margie likes everyone. One of us (Margie) is an accomplished musician (grand piano,) the other is a good cook and bon vivant.
We love to travel and meet new people.

PHILOSOPHY

If people don't like animals I don't generally trust them. If my dogs don't like a person, I always trust them.
Live and let live, love and be loved, love one another.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We like to host and travel, for hosting, a day or two works best, and we look for interesting people who can bring insights, good conversation and new cultures (and ideally like food and good conversation!). We have a large apartment in an ancient (1690 house) in the middle of a medieval city (Warwick). Come and stay, we are 250 yds from Warwick castle http://www.warwick-castle.co.uk/ and 15 mins from Stratford Upon Avon, the birthplace of Shakespeare.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Stayed with Irma in Michigan; Fantastic bubbly person!. Also had Viktoria from Moscow, perfect guest, interesting and nice! Had Roger from Autralia, who was very interesting, Scotty, a Canadian, and recently Jorge and Mirta from Spain; All very interesting people!
Also started the Warwick couchsurfers group, of NICE people!

Interests

Paul: Animals, we have 2 trained dogs (Labrador therapy dogs which I work in dementia homes for charity), and a couple of cats. Bring your friendly house trained dog if you like! Cooking (trained chef), eating ;o) reading, hanging out, eating out, quaint English pubs and american honky tonks, gives aromatherapy and indian head massage. Likes animals, people who are 'individual'.
We like red wine and relaxed conversation.

Music, Movies, and Books

Henry V (Kenneth Branaugh), Sherlock Holmes, lighthearted, romcom, not horror. Wide range of eclectic tastes. Self improvement, positive psychology, coaching. Animals, help the homeless. Great cookbooks. Sewing and creativity. We usually read 2-3 books a week each. We don't have TV(!), but do have plenty of DVD's.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Been a lot of places, most of Europe, and the far east (HK, KL, Singapore), worked in Australia, Mexico and Egypt, plus lived in the USA (Philly) and UK. Been around. Amazed by my kids being born, by the sights of nature and the goodness of the human spirit.

Teach and learn: Paul: Cooking (anything and everything), care of animals and babies. Weight training / bodybuilding.Life coaching, and Pilates (harder than it looks!) Business, connection with old places and beliefs, native wisdom. Both; teccy stuff and computer systems. Margie; Music (suzuki teacher)and deep thoughts.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook, and if in the UK can share fun with my 2 trained labrador therapy dogs (I work them for people with dementia, stress, autism, deafness, loneliness).
And if you stay at the house, there are 2 cats as well!
