About Me

I'm 26 years old and I am from France. I have been living in Macedonia for almost one year because I'm doing there an European Voluntary Service.
My volunteering includes two main activities. First, I work on the monthly magazine of my organization which means writing and designing articles.
Then, I go frequently to a daily centre which hosts Roma kids from the streets.
There, I help the staff with the daily activities: basically, providing cares, food and clothes to the kids. I also implement some creative workshops with other volunteers like paintings, drawings or sports.

My current experience as a volunteer is really rewarding, I learnt a lot from a new culture, a new environment and from meeting very passionate and interresting people. I also grew up as a person. In one word, being a volunteer in Macedonia is priceless!

Otherwise, I love travelling and exploring new countries like everybody registered on this website I guess. I already had the chance to visit several countries and I always keep good memories from these journeys.

To briefly sum up my hobbies, the thing I like the most is to chill out with some friends around a good bottle of wine and tasty food. I am a big fan of sports and movies. Sharing on these topics is a real pleasure. Last but certainly not least, I do enjoy listening and learning from experiences and backgrounds of people I meet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing to experiment this new way to travel out of the tracks. Being a guest or hosting people means more than saving some money by far. It's the greatest opportunity to meet people with different cultures, habits and interests. I think we learn a lot from this kind of experience and it's my main motivation.

Music, Movies, and Books

Impossible to pick only one among all the musics, movies and books I love. I would say that in terms of movies, I'm really into social drama (especially french ones), touching and emotionally strong where the story alone is enough to catch the emotions.
Music: classics like the rolling stones, the beatles or Beach boys. I like also electro/indie music like MGMT, Foster the people or Jamie XX.
Books: french authors mainly, Emmanuel Carrère, Michel Ouelbecq, Fred Vargas.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I succeeded to collect 3000 euros through a crowdfunding platform to offer one week of holidays to 40 kids who have never left their slum before. Most of them were swiming for the first time and to see how much they enjoyed all the little things that every other kids use to do, made me really happy and proud.
