About Me

To expand, innovate and challenge my art and myself

I'm 26, and I've lived in New York City for the past 8 years. I'm a theater director and binge-traveler. In New York, as my day job I manage a children's arts programs and occasionally cater, but my theater is what drives me. My company, Theater in Asylum, creates original work and adapts classics with music, poetry and dance.

Most recently I took a play I wrote and directed to around the United States a bit and it will soon appear in the 2014 Prague Fringe Festival. After performing there May 27-31, 2014, I will be traveling for 6 weeks.

I'll be in:

Jersalem: June 3-7
Tel Aviv: June 7-11
Riga: June 11-16
London: June 16-23
Paris: June 23-30(??)
South of France, somehow get to Menton: June 1-4
Avignon: July 5-12
Paris: July 12-17

"I am an excitable person who only understands life lyrically, musically,
in whom feelings are much stronger than reason.
I am so thirsty for the marvelous that only the marvelous has power over me.
Anything I can not transform into something marvelous, I let go.
Reality doesn't impress me. I only believe in intoxication, in ecstasy,
and when ordinary life shackles me, I escape, one way or another.
No more walls."
- Anais Nin

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I studied abroad in Cuba during collage and did an independent study on the government oversight of the arts in Cuba. What I was taught in the US about Cuba was all wrong. And what a beautiful experience to learn that.
