ABOUT ME

"Let me explain. No, there is too much. Let me sum up."

I spent my first 17 years growing up in Newcastle, my 18th year as an exchange student in Japan, and my next 17 years living all over Sydney.

From 2007 to 2009, I moved to California to design games. And 2010 will be my most interesting year yet! I'm exploring Ecuador and Uruguay in search of a new place to call home.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm looking forward to meeting some hosts during my travels in 2010. Then I hope to settle down somewhere in South America and become a host myself.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, I've attended a few local events in San Diego, and an epic meetup in Ecuador for NYE. Along the way I've met some truly awesome people.

MUSIC

I'm preparing for South America by expanding my collection of Rock en Espanol, and pandora.com is teaching me more every day :) So far, thumbs up for Juanes, Fonseca, Chayanne, Reik, Mana, Bacilos, Carlos Vives, Diego Torres, and Juan Luis Guerra.

MOVIES

All time faves are The Princess Bride and The Incredibles, but I enjoy all the usual suspects (including The Usual Suspects) like: Dark Knight, Lord of the Rings, Raiders, Pulp Fiction, Fight Club, Se7en, Silence of the Lambs, American Beauty, Amadeus, The Departed, T2, Aliens, and anything else directed by Jim Cameron. Avatar was everything I hoped for and more!

The first thing that came to mind was singing Bon Jovi songs out in front of a note-perfect Japanese high school band in a hall full of screaming students. That was a fun afternoon :)
