I love books, words, coffee, forests, moving water.

I have lived outside Finland on/off : Washington DC, Grenoble(Fra), Melbourne, London, a Greek Island called Leros and Madrid. Now I'm back in Finland, in Joensuu.

I'm helping people to expand their horizons by teaching them English.

I like visiting art museums and expos. My favourite places in Madrid are the Matadero and Reina Sofia. I love walking around and exploring the city and its hidden secrets, especially the old stories.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I simply love books. I have some favourite authors but I am also happy to make new friends. I love words and beautiful or clever use of words.

I often read crime fiction, sometimes fantasy but other stuff too. Fred Vargas is my absolute favourite. I also like Natsuo Kirino, Haruki Murakami, Marguerite Duras, Tove Jansson, Asa Larsson, JJR Tolkien, Terry Pratchett, Ryu Murakami, Amelie Northcomb, Anna Gavalda

I enjoy going to the cinema a lot, sometimes box office films but more often I like to choose something that looks a bit more interesting or challenging. I like to see films at Cine Dore. That place really has something about it. Woody Allen, Guy Richie, Aki Kaurismaki, French films "foreign films"..

I like dancing a lot; funk, R&B, DnB, soul, jazz, indy, salsa, depending on my mood. Sting, Depeche Mode, U2, Portishead, Morcheeba, Emma Salokoski, Fat boy slim, Danko Jones, Jamiroquai, Lauri Tahka..

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

...camping in Yosemite, sleeping under the stars on Australian desert sand, kayaking in Pacific ocean, traveling alone, backpacking around Italy with my young nieces and my sister, leaving my "safe life" and starting a new adventure...

And all the little things, the "hidden treasures"
