About Me

Hey! I'm Pauline, a recent college graduate living in Philadelphia. I was born in Cambodia and immigrated to the US when I was 5 so I am pretty Americanised, but am still very in tune with my Cambodian/Asian culture.

I love trying new things, especially food. I want to try food from every culture. I am an extremely curious person, I want to learn about every random thing out there. If you are willing to talk, I am willing to listen. I like history, especially history being conveyed orally.

I am yearning to see and hear stories from people who are from different backgrounds and so I stumbled upon a love for traveling. I travel to be lost in someone else's culture and world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because this community is the kind of community that will allow me to meet variety of people all around the globe. This is the kind of experience I cannot get by visiting a country and going to a hotel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After being curious and wanting to try it for years, I finally got to try the fugu(deadly and poisonous blowfish, if done incorrectly) on my trip to Japan.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you don't think it is a bore, I will share many random facts that I have gathered over the years, either from books, documentaries, experience or people.

I am currently not able to accept hosts because I am living with my parents, but I am planning to go teach English in a foreign country(contemplating Korea) in the very near future, and I will be opening my doors to host other couchsurfers.
