Hi! I am Pauline, 30 years old and from the Netherlands. I am a medical doctor (resident in Global Health and Humanitarian medicine), however, currently I have a little break in between jobs and therefore I am travelling.
I enjoy experiencing new countries and learning about new cultures, therefore I have visited already 44 countries in my life.
I started couchsurfing in 2016 in Iran and had an amazing experience there. Previously on my long distance cycling trips to Patagonia and Japan I have also stayed with locals as a bikepacker.
Given these amazing experiences I would love to try it again, and hopefully after my travels also host couchsurfers at home in Amsterdam!
I am considerate, tidy and easy-going.
I am also a non-smoker and vegetarian.
In my spare time I enjoy travelling (of course), trailrunning, rock climbing and mountaineering.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like being in an environment where cultures and stories are shared. In my travel experience this has always inspired me and help me create new ideas. And ofcourse I like helping out a fellow traveller!
