To stay curious and remain a life long learner.
I'm Pauline; sometimes contradictory, always curious! I take delight in life's little luxuries, like sun rises, good cheap wine, good cheap food, cute animals, those "aha!" light bulb moments I get from learning, homemade food, and the feeling after a good night's rest/great night out.
To paraphrase E.E. Cummmings (or Charlie Chaplin; google isn't too consistent with its answers), I believe a day wasted is one without laughter. That, and I must eat something sweet with a great cup of tea at least once a day. Biscuits and tea are the greatest!
Share a cup of tea or a bike ride with me and we'll get along fine :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm a global citizen who likes to build bridges via chats over food, drink, dance, and song! (Apologies in advance for my not-so-great singing voice; no apologies in advance for my wonderfully embarrassing dancing skillz).
As a host, I'm free for coffee, tea, or other beverages. And for walking/biking around my lovely city that is Chicago. Message me if you'd like to hang during weekends or evenings!
I've met some people from Chicago CS group events, one person through the Roma CS Language Exchange group, and couch surfed in Copenhagen. All experiences were great and I've grown way more sociable because of these things (and because of college)!
Cooking, biking, walking, dancing in front of my bedroom mirror.
Little things in life, like a good piece of chocolate, excellent whiskey, reading the Chicago Reader paper on the el [Chicago's subway], biking by Lake Michigan, and contagious laughter.
Music, Movies, and Books
Amelie, Science of Sleep, Zoolander.
Never Let Me Go.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ran down a mountain in the pouring rain in the Philippines. Adopted a cute kitten. Tandem skydived and felt zen-like. Saw Berlusconi in front of the Parliment while in Rome. Jumped and danced in the mud during Santigold's set at Lollapalooza 2012.
Teach, Learn, Share
People who are patient teachers are the best! I like to dabble in everything; I'm a jack of all trades, master of none. Some things I'm decent at:
Baking, cooking via recipes, biking, and being an awkward dancer for the enjoyment of others.
Countries I’ve Visited
Denmark, Ireland, Italy, Northern Ireland, Philippines, Poland, Taiwan
Countries I’ve Lived In
Canada, United States
