About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To live every day to the fullest and to travel as much as possible and to be happy in life.
ABOUT ME
I am not hosting very often at the moment because of covid. I would prefer to host surfers who are quiet and not into partying as I do have a problem with my immune system. l will only accept guests who are low risk. I don't host couples.
I have enjoyed many years of hosting couchsurfers and I've met many amazing people.
I love all wildlife. I am particularly dog crazy, I will pat dogs wherever I go. Ever since I was a little boy I've had dogs as my best friends.
Nothing better than being lost in a new city and discovering hidden laneways, cafes, street art and music.
I offer my couch to solo travellers with a minimum of three nights.
I live very close to Keon Park Train Station which is about 30 minutes from the CBD
A few simple rules to make your stay enjoyable.
-Please respect my house and my dog Bella.
-Welcome to use my kitchen but please clean up.
-Please, eat in the kitchen/lounge area and no food in the bedroom.
.
Firstly and most importantly, I have a dog named Bella who is gorgeous but lively and friendly. Please if you don't like dogs or you are allergic or scared of them please please don't request my couch.
I'm very much an outdoor person who loves nature. I just love all forms of wildlife.
I'm very passionate about my life and travel and I have enjoyed making the most of it. I am a 63year old retired primary school teacher living in Melbourne. I recently retired from my teaching position. I like to laugh, so I enjoy being around happy and positive people.
Things I like: wildlife- bushwalking and nature a glass of red wine, afl football, watching movies, music - most types, picnics, travelling, trying to play pool, dinner with friends, going to the beach, walking to beautiful places -mountains and beaches, vegemite, tim-tams, sunsets.
PHILOSOPHY
To live a happy an uncomplicated life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
After many years of hosting wonderful travellers, I now sometimes enjoy having the house to myself. I was also an ambassador for couchsurfing for over 14 years but decided not to continue in this role as I prefer to host and meet travellers rather than arrange events.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've been with couchsurfing for seventeen years now and hosted hundreds of travellers.
Interests
I like all types of music, watching movies, photography, art, reading, AFL football, wildlife, bush walking and of course traveling.
I like going out for dinner as well. I am interested in protecting the environment and I really enjoy teaching the kids at school about conservation and caring for animals.
I want to write a book about my travels, and I have lots of crazy and amazing experiences over the years. (not so much to publish but for myself!!!)
