Re-integrate into USA life, while appreciating all I've learned from living abroad.

ABOUT ME

In March 2014, I packed up my life and moved to the Czech Republic. I have been spending my time teaching English and traveling around Europe. This has been a life changing experience and I'm not sure how I'll top this adventure.

PHILOSOPHY

While I enjoy serendipity, I also believe that luck favors the prepared. My scouting days have taught me what to pack and how to pack it. Personal responsibility is something I live by; I don't ever want to be a burden to someone else.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to visit places and have off the grid experiences. Big tourist sights are fun, but more important to me are the local cultural experiences that you can't get from some guidebook. I will eat until my plate is clean and dance until they turn the music off.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met some awesome people through Couchsurfing (both hosting and surfing). I'm continuously jealous of everyone's stories and amazing experiences.

Recently having a lot of fun with some nerdy books like The Martian, Ready Player One, and Armada.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I really enjoy winter hiking and I have seen the sunrise from a few snow covered mountains. Seeing the monuments of the world has been a great experience for me. I never traveled abroad during my childhood and it's nice to know these things were waiting for me.
