About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Life is a trip, and I´m travelling it!!

ABOUT ME

Hello,

I'm Paul, born on November 20, 1988 in a small village in the Eastern part of the Netherlands. Today I'm studying geology at the Utrecht University. Geology is a great study, if you keep in mind all the travelling you do with this study. Further I played football (soccer) since I was very little and still love the game. Most of my evenings I spend with friends, drinking a couple of beers or go out to a bar or club. When I am alone, I will put on some music from the Dire Straits or other 80's rock music.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None. This vacation will be my first CS experience and I am looking forward to it.

Interests

I played football (soccer) for many years now and it still is my favourite sport. Also spending evenings with friends, drinking a beer and playing of for example Risk, is a good time spender. Further I like to go to parties or to a bar or a terras.
As I study geology I am also interested in that field. Watch a lot of documentaries on Discovery or National Geographic Channel.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I have a quite reasonable DVD collection. I like much movies, depending on the state where I am in. But the Shawshank Redemption is still one of my all time favorites.
Music: Love the 80's rock music, especially the Dire Straits, Creedence Clearwater Revival and The Who.
Books: At the moment reading in The Moscow Vector of Robert Ludlum. Other books from him were also great.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

With a group of 30 geology students I have been to Iceland. What a country!! It was unfortunately the summer before the recession, meaning the prices were still high everywhere, but I had there the time of my life. Climbing volcanoes, seeing geysers and trail hiking for 4 days.

Teach, Learn, Share

At the moment I am an undergraduate in Geology. Have some knowledge in that area, and find it nice to talk about.

Countries I’ve Visited

Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Peru, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States
