About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Learning to live and build a little more naturally
ABOUT ME
Since living our own lives (after finishing university), we have worked as grassroots organizers on environmental campaigns to stop the development of gated communities in beautiful places and aquifer contamination from expanding landfills. We have also followed our passions into the realm of natural building (cob and strawbale) while being able to also seek wild edible and medicinal plants and knitting our brains out. (yes we are a male and female vegan knitting duo). Oh yeah, and Luke's band is gearing up to write and record a new album this winter myspace.com/ruberdus and Rachel documents the adventure at sustainabullies.blogspot.com

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We can't wait to settle and build our own place to host all you lovely couch surfers out there! In the mean time, we're spreading the love and word via telling everyone we meet about the joys of couch surfing and our past positive experiences!
Interests
reading, crafting (wild and domestic), board games (scrabble, cranium, apples to apples), swimming in creeks, family, guit-fiddle, ridding ourselves of the societally infused notions of anthropocentrism and false entitlement, and having fun in general

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
each day
Teach, Learn, Share
we can feed you knit skills, recommend herbal medicine (not pot) for what ails you, tell you how to build with mud... or show you if you've got some laying around, demonstrate how to fry up some mean vegan food on the skillet, or even just talk deep green resistance or community organizing over tea. oh, and if you don't know by now, we will show you how to do a cartwheel.
