Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
I have been caught in the tourist trap many times when I will go to a new city, take some photos of some famous places then leave. No real experience had, just memories imprinted on a memory stick. I hope that being part of this amazing community will allow me to experience what a city truly has to offer: through the eye of a local.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
After a long night dancing and eating, we all climbed to the base of the Notre Dame de la Garde in Marseilles, France. If anyone has ever been there, they'll know it isn't an easy feat - especially at 6 in the morning with a head and body still full of the night before.
We reached the top just in time to see it. The sun rising over the mountains, flooding the red cityscape below with a deep yellow light. It was breath taking.
Not a word was spoken as one by one our party left and went their own ways with the intention to meet back at the Hostel in a couple hours. Some went straight back, others went off on their own little adventure, not yet ready to see the night end.
I decided to stay on that wall. Alone and happy with the stillness, and the birds waking, I drifted off to sleep.
About an hour later I was woken by muffled voices speaking French and the clomping of boots. I looked up at two French Foreign Legion Kepi Blanc characters looking down at me as they walked past to open the gate and for morning drill.
A surreal and amazing experience.
