About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Drive less.

ABOUT ME

Early riser. Regular M-F work schedule, MS Chemical Engineer (GaTech). My job location moved so I bought this house in Norcross to be able to walk to work, walk to shopping, and walk to church. Music rehearsals some evenings. Trying to play some chamber music once a month. Orchestra rehearsal Tuesdays. Church choir on Wed. Thursday I have wind ensemble rehearsal. When I sold my first house in downtown Atlanta I bought a second home in Sarasota, FL. Waiting for retirement to relocate Dec 24, 2024.

PHILOSOPHY

Why walk, when you can run. If it rains, I'll get wet. When the bus comes, I'll get on. Set up the itinerary then stick to it.

Music, Movies, and Books

Classic Bugs Bunny and Warner Bros cartoons on VHS tapes. Opera movies live from the Met in high definition (and also live opera), Harold and Maude, Monty Python (but I've never seen Life of Brian). Two films are essential for understanding American culture, both from 1939: Wizard of Oz and GWTW. Hitchcock. Herzog. Benigni. Loved the new parodies of Jane Austen. Am trying to memorize some poetry. Poe. Melville. I read MobyD in 2010 & re-2015. Stravinsky. Tchaikovsky. Mozart. Beethoven. Bach and Handel. (Oh yes, and classic funk / disco, too.)
