I'm too busy for guests at the moment, I have too much on with university work.

Living in Rotherham, not the most scenic of places but it does sometimes serve as a good mid-point for couch surfers.

It's actually really great to be able to host for people at the moment. My place is quiet with a spare room and a great place to rest before going on to the next place.

I'm self employed, business minded. I mentor undergrad and postgraduate students part time and love helping them grow and learn.

I love meeting new people, hearing stories and learning new things. I'm a free spirit who has an interest in just about everything.

I love intellectual conversations, walks, bouldering, listening to music, gaming, silence and love playing the piano.

I'm nearly vegan these days. Occasionally have meat when someone else cooks it but I'm just slowly switching off to it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Love meeting new people plus I've been helped by many people over the years and I just want to make sure that I pass that on to others where I can.

I live happily on my own at the moment and have a spare room with 2x single IKEA sofa beds (that have to be side by side due to size of the room). So this is what I'm offering anyone that stays. Apparently it's comfortable. I've still yet to put a blind up so it's been a sheet job the last 2 times 😅 (sorry previous surfers!)

Music, Movies, and Books

Love Einaudi and also playing the piano which was a recent purchase I'm really happy with. I'm also into trance music and partial to a bit of dark techno! Generally quite open to music as I am with most things.

Don't mind which movies I watch - I do like films that make you think, time travel, action, dramas (sometimes).

Books... I have loads of great books... books which I haven't read yet... mostly all non-fiction. I'm still determined to read them all - going to take some serious habit building though!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living in Belize for a year when I was a kid. Seeing how different life out there is day to day and realising how fortunate we are over here - or are we? The concept of happiness fascinates me and I know it's got nothing to do with circumstance. I've seen the poorest people smile with the joy of 10 people and I've seen people in the west get depressed when they have everything.
