About Me

Hitchhiking from the western tip of Europe to Turkey

I'm a Tasmanian, which, if you're an Australian, you'll give me shit about. Grew up in a tiny town an hour south of Hobart.

I've been living in Sydney for about 4 years and recently moved to Melbourne for work.

I've recently come back from spending a 5 weeks in New York City, which was incredible.

I love random stupid adventures...I'm into rock climbing, fire twirling, jazz, good theatre and travelling. I recently learnt how to pick locks so I could more easily break into rooftops - it's wicked being up so high in a place you shouldn't be...the perspective and rush that it gives you is awesome.

I get along with pretty much anyone that's open to anything

I just take life as it comes. No bullshit or fluff, just love to have fun

Im following my dream with my work, and meeting some really cool people in my travels

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Surf, host and hang out with awesome people

It's given me an amazing perspective on life and how kind and generous random strangers can be.

The most fun I've ever had has been through couch surfing experiences.

Gaming - I have a very daggy gamer side. I've got a PS3 and MacBook Pro
Waffles - Just a generally awesome anytime food (try eating them for breakfast with ice-cream, in the's experience you won't forget!)
Live Entertainment - It's my work, but also a love of mine. Good theatre, jazz, cabaret or musicals are awesome
Wine & Coffee - I'm not a snob, just think both liquids are totally tasty

Music, Movies, and Books

Swordfish, Angels in America, The Matrix, Requiem for a Dream, American Beauty, Unknown, My Neighbour Totoro, Spirited Away, The Fountain, Shortbus, Fight Club, heaps more

Tear Drop by Massive Attack is my all-time favourite song (not because it's now the theme song for House!)
Other than that, Sia, Pear, Pendulum, Fat Boy Slim, Regina Spektor, Kate Miller-Heidki, Seal, Savage Garden, Gyroscope, Tiger Lou

The Tibetan Book of Living & Dying, The Hours

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Threw a full-scale dance party on a NYC subway train with a bunch of other surfers. We had music, drinks, streamers, and we blacked out some of the lights. We tasked a burley russian surfer with the job of security every time we stopped at a station, he'd get outside the train and look imposing, asking new passengers for ID when they tried to get on

Watched a spanish evangelical gospel concert (imagine the musical numbers from Sister Act in spanish)

Collected pet tortoises in Turkey

Went to collect some friends on a little fijian fishing boat and got stuck ont he reef at about 2 in the afternoon. By the time the tide came back up it was 11pm. We just chilled in the boat with these fijian dudes all afternoon. You have the most awesome deep and meaningfuls with old dudes who speak with broken english

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to:
Get your ass kicked at Halo 3 on Xbox
Make a wicked cheesecake
Make coffee on a really old-school manual-lever coffee machine
Spin fire
Pick locks
Climb trees like a ninja (as if people don't know how to do this!)

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Czech Republic, Fiji, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Indonesia, Italy, Kenya, Morocco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Qatar, Serbia, Slovakia, South Sudan, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, Uganda, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, Kenya, South Sudan
