Skanking Star aims to educate and entertain audience with skanking culture of Jamaican dance music, which started in Jamaica and became a global acceptance.

What is Skanking

About Skanking Star

Pavan Kakarla started following Reggae music from the year 2012 with Dakta dub, who started Monkey Radio India and Bass Sanskriti and is part of the reggae movement in India as a volunteer taking part in various activities, few mentioned below

Sound System en Masse - India's 1st community Reggae event funded by the people all around the world, exclusively organized for children in Hyderabad 2015

Goa SunSplash - India's biggest Reggae Music Festival in Goa, since 2016

BFR Sound System, A crowd funded campaign to built a Jamaican style sound system on Indiegogo in 2016

All India Dub Conference, is a meeting of sound systems in India. The 1st one happened at Pune in 2016

The Xtraordinary Children Dance, a 10000 Lions sound system dance show for 2500 special children on International Day of People with disability at Bal Kalyan, Pune  in 2017

Pavan also did a skanking act on the name of Reggae Rennaisance at Lalaland Festival,Goa in 2018 and at Azaad Awaaz 2.0 at Unwind, Koregoan park in Sept 2019.
