About Me

One more newbie here on Couchsurfing. It has started just now, when I was lucky enough to buy a flight ticket to Barcelona for just 2 cents that made me realize, I'm going on an adventure (image Bilbo Baggins running out of Hobbiton...just almost 2 metres high). Travelling alone is just fine, I like that, but this time I want to try something new. I don't want to be another Barcelona tourists, chasing sightseeings (ok I want to, but not that desperately). What I'm looking for is a natural experience of the city, with all its advantages and disadvantages.

I'm 27, currently living in Bratislava, Slovakia, and never felt more alive. Just now I'm pursuing my dream of becoming a tattoo artist (see the IG profile with my drawings @dark_matter_matters). I never thought I could draw anything. Although there's much space to improve, its drawing that makes me feel relaxed and happy about myself (getting too sensitive already?).

I'm kind of a person who is neither introver or extrovert. Depends on the situation. I can enjoy a great gig or a party as well as chit chatting over a cup o good coffee.

I'm a vegetarian (that means I don't eat animals...only people). Don't be afraid though, I make great friends with meateaters. ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm not kind of a person who enjoys staying in artificial hotel environment. That why I started using Airbnb, which made me feel more like I'm the part of the city I visit. Travelling alone has its pros, but has its cons as well. I missed the opportunity to hang out with locals, to see what they're used to, what they do, how life really is in their city. That's one of reasons I decided to sign up to the Couchsurfing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Let me start with what kind of music I don't like. Never been a fan of party music. Music that does not teach you values, music which promotes values not valuable. I'm no puritan, but for me, the music must make you think, re-thing, keep you on the track. Hardcore and Metalcore music gives me that. You might not like it for the first time you hear it, but give it a second, a third chance...and you might hate it a bit less. How about we hit some gig? ;)

Still I adore various styles of music, from british indie rock, rap music (mostly the old school one) and others.

The same goes for movies. I can enjoy horror movies as well as dramas and quality comedies. Best movies of recent times? The Intouchables.

Ask me about the best book I've read so far and I will say 1984 by Orwell. I love to read pacifistic literature from the 1st half of the 20th century (Remarque)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

None of the things I've done in my life I consider amazing. It's the little steps of good will that make you a better person. But if I should name on thing, it's stopping eating meat.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love history. When I visit the place, I don't need to know every historical detail, but my breath is taken away when I stand at places the history was written.

I like to watch the differences between people in foreign countries (haven't been to many though, time to fix that I guess).

I want to know your opinion on politics (local of worldwide), lifestyles, want you to tell me how you see your country, how you see mine.

What I Can Share with Hosts

The amazing...the incredible...the fantastic....pizza I make! Can cook other things too (but don't mistake me for Ramsey)

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Croatia, England, France, Norway, Slovakia

Countries I’ve Lived In
