I am an emerging film director, that is opening an account here as I am now invited to many festivals in USA and Europe but as an emerging artist of course low on funds. So I hope you can help me out with accommodation.

My passion is story telling. Stories were told long before I was born and will be told long after I die and that is what I love about stories, they are immortal, they live in our hearts and transform life’s. My grandfather made me fall in love with directing and films as he always were telling me stories. So with me you will never feel bored. Also as I am coming for film festivals I can definitely get you tickets to them as well!

I love traveling and for last 3 years I lived in China where I worked in film industry and also won my first film festival. I almost forgot to tell that I also love sports and friends gathering and for last 2 years I also started swing dancing and rock and roll dancing.

Perché sono iscritto su Couchsurfing

As said before, starting from 05.2017 - 03.2018 I have to attend different film festivals with my newest short film. And I hope to attend as many as I can, but the prices of accommodation are high. So I hope I can find great friends in the city and possibility to stay overnight through couch surfing.
I also think it is a great way how to meet new friends as through my travels around the world I always tried to stay in families, with someone who my friends know as this is how you also experience new culture!

Musica, film e libri

my favorite movies always change. But one of the movies that always stays with me as one of my all time favorite is Rocky - as it always inspired me when I feel down. I also love movie Momento for it mind tricks and I loved La La Land for romantic mood and believing in big dreams!

I love all kinds of music, lately I am hooked on jazz and classical, but the same time I easily switch to some old good rock classics like Queen. And I don't mind Taylor S. sometimes as well, as long as it is not to long :)))

My favorite book it is a taough one, because you don't want to look to childish or to important :)))) But I'll just risk. As in my childhood I was a leader of Harry Potter fun club. Yes I was a nerd :) I loved those books. But I also loved Jules Verne books. I have read almost all of them. And I love Dostoevsky, as there is a bit of Russian genes in me from my father side!

I have traveled in China for one month without money. I got inspired from movie - Into the wild and decided could I go without spending money, traveling around country I don't know. And you know what - that was the most inspirational and amazing trips I have taken. Will tell you more when we meet!

I could teach you how to shoot a video, how to edit it. I could share about solo traveling, how to hitchhike better. I can share amazing stories from my travels in China.
As I am traveling for film festivals I could definitely get tickets for showings and parties.

And I think it is a very rare opportunity to meet a Latvian as there are only 1.9 million of us :) left
