ABOUT ME

I might seem to be quite reserved and shy when you meet me at the first time. But with the time you realise I can be very friendly, warm-hearted, friends say I have a special sense of humour, I´m a very good company and like discussions on many topics. I prefer smaller group of people to noisy and overcrowded parties.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is so complex that I will never understand it. And I should be just grateful and fascinated about the beauties of it. The most meaningful thing to me seems this living "now and here", seeing things even from ordinary life with awe... Something based on zen buddhism and existencialism (unfortunatelly I have rather superficial knowladge of these).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I went to some meetings, surfed a few couchesand hosted people. I plan to do more when I get a bigger flat, now on my few quadrate meter there is really no possibility for someone to stay overnight.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfing, one night in Tuebingen and 4 nights in Amsterodam. I´m very greatful to people who hosted me. Back home in the Czech republic I hosted my first guest.

Interests

My job- medicine, human body and mind. Politics, theoretical economy and sociology.
Then travelling, but not as an ordinary tourist, but with trying to get to know the locals and their way of life, their mentality, so it becomes enrichment for me. And I like sports, hiking, biking, jogging, yoga (just started to do yoga regularly and realised its addictive!), swimming outdoors in winter (OK, the swimming pool is heated), playing tennis etc.

-smart science fiction moies (2001 Space Odyssey as a best movie ever imo, Solaris (I prefer the russion one), Brazil, Planet of Apes, Man of the Earth, some Star Treck movies, Blade Runner, Matrix, Andromeda Strain, Twelve Monkeys, Inception...)
-crimi movies (Chinatown, Godfather, L.A. Confidential), crimi series
- Kubrick, Terry Gilliam, Roman Polanski, Milos Forman, A. Hitschock
-Southpark, Criminal Minds

If I had to choose one favourite band: Pink Floyd (period before The Wall)
- rock, progressive rock, music from 60th and 70th, indie

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Too many, as I said before I´m trying to find beauty in all moments of the life (and all one has to do is just open the eyes). So what was most precious for me: admiring peaces of art, nature (for example seeing the other part of the mountain range when standing on the top after hours of going up), swimming in the see at night and because of being far from the civilisation seeing star constelations you don´t normaly notice.
