About Me

I used to travel a lot, have been almost everywhere around Europe. Mostly by hitchiking or cheap rides/flights. Have fair share of stories about those times :) Unfortunately, I don't have ability to travel much nowadays, but still looking forward to meet and host fellow travellers.

Couchsuring seems to be way past it's glory times, but I still hope to meet some people inspired by original idea and willing to share their culture, not just looking for a place to crash.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I was a student, I was using couchsurfing a lot and it hepled me numerous times. Now I'm "grown up" a bit, settled down and actually have an abilty to host people, not just stay with someone. So I guess for me it's time to give back a little, I'm happy to host foreigners and share my experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

Jazz, reggae, rock, ska-punk, house, indie - honestly, whatever feels right for the mood.
I have really big favourite film list, but number one is maybe "Knocking on heaven's door".
I used to read a lot of books, but now it's moslty educational/professional literature.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've made hitchiking race from Kyiv to Madrid in 7 days, spending 2 days in Paris and 2 days in Barcelona. And it was my first New Year in a car on higway)
110 km for one day and the same back next day on city bike from Amsterdam to Texel island, just to see a place from a movie.
Been "on the edge of the world" at the Nordkapp, Norway. And it really felt like edge of the world. And also swam in the Arctic Ocean :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn more about distant countries and cultures, so I prefer hosting foreinghers. If you can cook some local food - that would be awesome :) If you are interested, I can tell you more about local history, the ways people live and what to see here (or in another cities).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm not much of a surfer anymore, but I would love to be hosted by someone again :) I'm polite and respect people borders (and expect it from others). Your home - your rules.
