About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to keep the popscicle sticks and guar gum hidden from my roomates

ABOUT ME

Just finished my masters in international development in Geneva and now I'm back and trying to get my life set up in Toronto.

Describing myself has always been one of my least favourite things, but I just polled the room for descriptions and got "funny, but in a self-controlled kind of way", "witty, in a cutting kind of way", "logical, in an excessively so kind of way", and "ruthless". But in my opinion only two of those are actually true. (That last one at least I'm fairly sure was a joke.)

I like cooking, traveling, people, absurd situations, and heated discussions. I'm kind of a hippie (the tree-hugging kind, not the new-age kind).

PHILOSOPHY

I'm not really the kind of person to come up with a defined life philosophy, but I think "do unto others" is probably the best widely applicable rule like that, and I think a lot of things get taken too seriously.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed a little bit: in Montreal, in Peru, and in Helsinki, and I really enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend giving it a shot.

I hosted a few travelers with my room mates in university and it was a lot of fun. I can't host people right now because my apartment is too small but when I have a suitable place I'll definitely be hosting again.

Interests

Development, languages, cooking, politics, photography, etc

I think I have a relatively high baseline level of curiosity, but things that don't interest me at all include cars and most geology
