Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
The more you know, the safer you'll be when the Zombies attack.
ABOUT ME
Brian is a youth pastor who works with Junior and Senior High age young people at a small church. He also has two other part-time jobs in jewelry and real estate education. Tricia is a music therapist doing just a little private practice along with full-time momming. We are proud nerds. We are kind of hippies- of the composting, cloth diapering, vinegar-cleaning, kifer fermenting, breast feeding type- and love the frugal life. For things we enjoy, see the items above and add garage sales and garbage picking. Tricia cooks dinner almost every night, although food in our house is a grab bag of styles and ingredients.
PHILOSOPHY
We love God. We love people. That's about it in a nutshell. We've been described as "pretty cool for church running Jesus lovers," which seems like a complement.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Currently we mostly host couch surfers. One day when we don't have small people clinging to our legs we hope to couch surf the country, but not yet.
Interests
Reading (Tricia loves novels; Brian prefers non-fiction)
Kids (We especially enjoy our own, and we're guessing yours are cool, too)
Creative things (We both do music. Tricia does crafting. Brian fixes and builds house stuff. We look at visual art, but don't do it ourselves.)
Learning things (Tell me something I don't know)
Heated discussions (Give me your opinion, let me poke holes in your argument, and pointedly disagree with me. Sounds like a fun evening!)
Good coffee. (Mmmmm....)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Brian made a deal with Tricia when they got married it went something like this. "If you wait till after we both graduate to get pregnant then I'll take you to Europe."
In October of 2007 we went on a 3 week Europe trip where we saw London, Paris, 5 stops in Italy, the Austrian Alps, and 3 stops in Germany. Then we had a baby. Everyone is happy!
Teach, Learn, Share
Tricia knows a lot about attachment style parenting from breastfeeding to baby wearing to co-sleeping. She also loves to talk up the awesomeness of cloth diapers. She reads a lot and would love to discuss books with you.
Brian knows how to fix things including cars, which is handy. He also is a financial nerd, so if you want to talk about investments, insurance, debt reduction, and saving money, he's got a lot of opinions and some good advice.
We would love to be better gardeners and could use some serious help with that.
