About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Chasing after the American dream in Portland, Oregon.

ABOUT ME

Avid indie-rock musician, home-recording enthusiast, insomniac.

I'm moving to Portland, Oregon! A couch is the first step.

PHILOSOPHY

I usually enjoy staying out of other people's philosophies, as I feel that most people are going to think what they want to anyway. I'm liberally minded but politics exhaust me. I just try not to be a jerk.

Music is my calling and spend most of my waking day thinking about it. It's a great way to fill the hours!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm looking for a couch for two weeks when I get to Portland on October 15th, so that I can search for an apartment of my own on my own terms without buying into an apartment that I've never seen, or even worse, getting scammed out of a lot of money on Craigslist.

I'm only looking to stay for those two weeks while I get acclimated and actively scout out perspective apartments. I'll rarely even be in your space! When I am though, I'll be super rad. Got dirty dishes? I can hook you up! : )

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had a couch surfing account for years, but I never got around to using it before now. If it's truly an awesome experience, I'll be sure to host my own couch as soon as I end up owning one!

Interests

Indie rock, old-school video games, interesting night-life (especially live music shows), & REALLY GOOD coffee.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2006, I went to Europe with my collegiate choir on a two week long, 12-country tour of some of Europe's greatest cathedrals for a tour of Mozart's music in celebration of his 250th birthday. We sang in the Frauenkirche in Dresden, Germany, Notre Dame in Paris, France, and many others that were equally breathtaking.

I may never get another glimse of Europe so intensive or so packed with laughter and amazement again, so I take heed to cherish those memories fondly.
