ABOUT ME

I am an artist. I teach yoga. I graduated from FSU with a degree in International Affairs. I like learning about the world and how everything is interconnected. I love listening to people tell their stories. I am very spiritual and I have much respect for Mother Earth.

I LOVE adventures, any kind, especially those that involve the outdoors :)

I believe that the world can be viewed through an infinite number of perspectives and I strive to learn as many of them as I can. This is why I love talking to people, because each person has a unique view of life, and from each person we can learn and grow.

Writing is my passion. I keep a notebook with me everywhere I go to jot down thoughts and project ideas. I also carry a small digital recorder in order to capture unique sounds or brilliant conversations.

Visual art is a relatively new development in my life. I am constantly trying to learn new techniques and skills. Installations, sound art, video art, collage and watercolor are some of the areas I'm drawn to (no pun intended ;] )

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that it is important to have compassion for all living things, because everyone suffers. I try not to kill things, even roaches! (I eat meat, but I am working hard towards vegetarianism... chicken wings are so delicious!).

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I climbed the tallest mountain in Panama, Volcan Baru (3,474 m/ 11,398 ft). From the summit you can see BOTH oceans, the Pacific and the Caribbean Sea. We camped overnight at the top and suffered through a hellworld of a thunderstorm, but the morning sunrise made it all worth it. That sunrise at the top of the world, with both oceans in plain sight, was the most glorious moment I have ever experienced.

I TEACH YOGA!!!! I can teach English and Spanish and would like to practice Portuguese. I love to cook and share recipes (I know how to make many Hispanic dishes).
If you are an artist of any kind (writer, dancer, musician, visual artist, etc) I would love to learn about your creative process and share work. Art does not exist in isolation and I believe we can all learn from each other.
