About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To find out what's next!

ABOUT ME

I'm an open-minded, outgoing, fun-loving, anarchist, feminist, agnostic-Jew, crazy, pansexual, artistic, punky, funky, happy, weird, colorful, hippie, musical, exciting, RIGHTEOUS BABE! (if ya wanna label me) Did i mention that I totally DESPISE labels?!?! I'm easily distracted by bright, fuzzy, or shiny objects. I love listening to music and singing. I also love to waterski, but I don't get to do it nearly as much as I would like to!

I can often be found attending music concerts and festivals! Social justice is important to me and I try to do some type of volunteer work on a semi-regular basis, such as pro-choice escorting or helping out with Food Not Bombs. I really dug volunteering in the 9th ward in New Orleans. I have also volunteered in Israel a few times. Israel is a place that is close to my heart! I believe that living in both New Orleans and Israel are somewhere in my future. I have also found some really great opportunities to see great music through volunteering both with HeadCount and Work Exchange Team!

I studied Early Childhood Education, in university. I create art out of found/ used/ recycled/ upcycled objects that would otherwise find themselves in a landfill. I am moved by community and nature.

I am on the waiting list to join an intentional community called Twin Oaks, in Virginia! In the mean time I'm chilling in the land of cleavage.

PHILOSOPHY

My motto in life is, I'll try ALMOST anything once and if I like it I'll try it again! Don't knock it till you've tried it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have yet to host anyone from this site but the idea is not new to me. I've hosted many people at various residences of mine. One even turned into a roommate! I used to date a music promoter so we would often host bands who he had booked, as they passed through town. Summer 2009 I had a guest who was on her way from Rothbury to All Good, both of which festivals I attended as well. We've kept in touch and become good friends through that experience.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Done.
-Volunteered in the Israeli Army.
-I drove 9 hours, alone, to the Twin Oaks Communities Conference where I was sure to know NO one and I never even go out alone! (Ok, maybe not amazing but a personal accomplishment.)
-Skinny dipped in Lake Erie with a few friends and a bunch of strangers. Haha, also not too amazing but it gave this amazing feeling kinda like, "ooo, this feels good. Am I going to end up infested with lots of disease after getting out of Lake Erie?" lol.
-Participated in the 2010 National Rainbow Gathering!

Seen.
Natural beauties like the Badlands and the Grand Canyon.
Functional communities living in the states but outside of convention such as Twin Oaks and Acorn communities.
