We live in Pecan Island with a Kaplan, La. address.VERY rural in the middle of nowhere/marsh. That's 35 miles S. W. of Kaplan, 45 miles S.W. of Abbeville, 60 miles S.W. of Lafayette, and 62 miles East of Cameron, La. A lot of dogs & cats in the house, love and food, joy and an eagerness to meet the day

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I fell into CS by accident...I was "porch hollering" when I saw bicylist ride by to the west, knowing that the next 120+ miles were barren for resources. Chris Ferguson Martin (from Crazy Guy on a Bike-please read his amazing journal)was my first hostee. It wasn't until Heather Decker (CS member) took me by the hand to the computer that I actually started formally hosting.We've had many riders through here, mostly during the winter.

Food, animals, pondering, people, new ways to recycle, re-use, and reduce. Dancing wherver the mood strikes me/us, music, literature, gardening, dirst in general, clouds and politcs and the Bible.....do not be afraid, we are as close to normal as can be....
