About Me

ABOUT ME

I believe a smile is a good starting point for most friendships, so I usually wear a grin on my face. I enjoy hanging out with positive and cheerful people.

Adventurous, open-minded and easygoing, I love meeting people and sharing my thoughts with them. I'm an ESTJ. While I enjoy hanging out with a big group of people, I believe meaningful conversations often happen in small groups. I consider myself inquisitive, as I tend to ask a lot of questions, so please be patient with me, I just want to know a little more. :)

I enjoy the experience of travelling: speaking to the locals, tasting and cooking different cuisines, analyzing the map, nibbling on local snacks, writing postcards, sharing experiences with other tourists, getting lost in the streets and watching how people spend their day in the city. Random kindness from strangers in a foreign land always makes my day! :)

I'm currently staying in London and I want to make the most out of my time in university by exploring Europe and travelling to different parts of the world.

PHILOSOPHY

Everyone has his/her own definition of 'fun'. Be true to yourself and what you like.

When you let go of what you are, you become what you might be.

We can't make all the right decisions in life, but we can definitely right every decision we made.

It is our choices that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm staying at a student accommodation in London, so it's inconvenient for me to host. But I'm very happy to meet people and bring them to good restaurants in London!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I first surfed with a friend in Athens, Greece. My host was an awesome guy, he prepared meals and cocktails for us. Even though it was a very short stay, I really enjoyed my time in Greece!

This summer, I surfed in Rio de Janeiro, Lima, Orlando, Miami, Washington DC, New York and LA! I had really pleasant experiences with my hosts in these cities, and would love to meet my hosts again!

Interests

Eating while walking, being surrounded by people in big cities, watching sunrise and sunset, looking out for rainbows, admiring fireworks, using the Malaysian accent, hunting for good restaurants/cafes/bakeries, travelling, cycling, running, yoga, baking

Backpacked in Romania with a group of students from different countries - Mexico, Hong Kong, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Romania, Korea and Canada.

Ran a half-marathon in Reading, UK.

Watched sunrise and sunset in the Amazon forest.

Trekked the Inca trail to Machu Picchu. The mountain ranges along the trail are breathtaking!

Enjoyed the fireworks at Cinderella Castle in Disney World, Orlando.

Travelled alone in the West Coast, USA, and ended up as travel companions with a Korean girl in LA, and two Brazilian guys in Las Vegas.

Saw the Northern lights in Iceland.

Waited for 5 hours just for the 10+ minutes fireworks during countdown in London, for 3 consecutive years. :)
