About Me

CURRENT MISSION

travel and live in different parts of the world, and finally find a place i feel i belong to...

ABOUT ME

i love food.. hiking, and i love travelling! and its not just about taking pictures and seeing things. it's more about meeting different people, learning about different cultures and way of life! i am pretty easy going, and have a lot of experiences living with big groups of people, so i adapt pretty well :)

PHILOSOPHY

live life to the fullest... things happen for a reason.. and.. be grateful for what you have.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i've had one very positive couchsurfing experience at a farm in taos :), and have done impromptu couch surfing with people i have met on travels, who invited me to stay with them when i visited their countries, and it has been an absolutely amazing experience. from a farm, a wineyard, a nursery.. some awesome big cities.. there's nothing better than seeing a place through a local's prospective, or with the guidance of a local, and doing things one might otherwise not be doing on a "normal" travel.

Interests

aside from the (obvious) travelling.. there's food, both eating and cooking.. music.. hiking.. discovering and learning new things!

Music, Movies, and Books

random music.. very mood dependent from regular poprock or r&b, jazz, world music to celtic.. i like strong vocals and intriguing lyrics. i love listening to soundtracks.. brings me right back to the scenes and feelings in the movies..

movies.. every girl loves her romantic comedies! also like foreign films and arthouse ones for a more refreshing and different theme...

books...i like books that take me into the life of a person in a different era, culture, or vocation. just love learning about how different people live, and how their lives are. read this book a couple of years ago "Stargazing: Memoirs of a Young Lighthouse Keeper" by Peter Hill and thought to myself that i wanted to be a lighthouse keeper if it still existed!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

moving to a new country by myself....! amazing experience.
think i am lucky to have had the oppurtunity to do some amazing things in my life... ie.. sleep on the bare indian desert floor with the starlit sky as my tv; taking a 48hour train ride in india and just spent time with the locals; hiked up wayna picchu with my mom; hiked up the three highest peaks in britain, some on my own; learned all about horses in the australian outback; watched a lamb being born and helped out in a lambing season; volunteered in a soup kitchen in the tenderloin district in san francisco; getting on the train at peak travel time in shinjuku; catching the northern lights twice in a week in canada; travelling up to the yellowknife in canada by land... makes one appreciate how vast and how far it actually is from everything else; picking blueberries in the wild whilst looking out for bears....

Teach, Learn, Share

hmmmm.... cooking? malay language? a little rusty though..
