My name is Pete. I love stories, read, watched or listened but there is nothing like hearing them from the mouth of a person next to you. People inspire me and so I would like to meet more of them.

Through this site, not a lot - I am new here. However, I have stayed in many places in the UK and abroad thanks to the kindness of strangers.

I want to know how things work. I want to have experiences that I would be jealous of if I heard about them from someone else. I like to travel, but who doesn't?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived on a beach in Mexico, the nearest village was a swim away across an estuary. I seam back from the shop one moonless night with a friend and the water was full of phosphorescence. Our bodies and the bodies of the shoals of fish swimming beneath us were outlined with explosions of light and the water was warm and still and stars blazed above us.
