About Me

I am a portuguese young man who moved to the UK in 2016. I studied International Relations in Oporto, Portugal and I can speak 4 languages.
I might host you in the UK or in Guimarães, Portugal if I'm there.
Travelling, football and food. These are my biggest passions. Don't be surprised if I know all the capitals in the world and also the local football team!
I am an easy-going person, always looking on the bright side of life.
I try to travell as much as I can, make as many memories as possible. I want to leave my mark in other people's life and also be marked by them. I love humanity!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To help as much people as I can, to learn, teach and share.
Because for me the best place to be is at a table, talking with people from other parts of the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: The Pogues, traditional portuguese music, classical music. (I can play mandolin, guitar, piano and accordeon)

Books: I am a bit pessimist about books, I'm always afraid of reading a new book because it may disappoint me. So I just stick to the classics such as Wuthering Heights, The Catcher in the Rye, The Picture of Dorien Gray, W. Shakespiere pieces, etc.

Films: The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, a french film that I always forget the name and a spanish film whose name I also forgot. Oh, and most of the films based in true events.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think I haven't done anything remarkable enough to write here. But the most rewarding thing I lived was when in Egypt I was playing football with kids in the streets. I did not speak arabic and they did not speak english but we still could understand one another perfectly because even though we had different backgrounds and religions etc I realized in that moment that those kids were exactly like me.
UPDATE: spent a month and a half traveling the Caribbean with only 1 backpack

Teach, Learn, Share

I'll obviously show you how to cook portuguese food wether I'm hosting or surfing. I'll teach you about Portugal, share my travel stories, interesting conversations about any subject, etc.
There's always so much to be learn thaught and shared...
