About Me

I am a Brazilian student in France who loves to travel and discover new places and cities. I am fascinated by big cities and I love to explore them as a tourist but also as a local. That is, I like to go to random places and feel the city's 'life'. I also love great landscapes and different food. As a person who loves to cook and bake, I like to try as many different cuisines and flavors when I travel as I can afford.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that one of the best ways to discover a city is to talk and get to know locals. It is the only way to really understand what makes the city what it is. And staying in a normal hotel room all alone won't help you with that!

I'd also love to host for the same reasons, but, unfortunately, I am not able to due to lack of space.

Interests

Besides traveling, I love to cook and bake (and therefore, to eat!), and I like tasting new flavors. I am also very interested in my field of study, engineering, and in urbanism.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to listen to most kinds of music, but if I'm the one who's choosing, I would probably put on some kind of pop, rock or alternative/indie. If you'd like, you can check my last.fm (which maybe isn't really up to date since I recently discovered it just wasn't connected to my Spotify account) here: http://www.last.fm/user/pedroguedesbm.

I also like to watch movies and TV shows. The ones I watched most recently were The Hateful Eight and Black Mirror, respectively.

I have a weird relationship with books. I am not a big fan of fiction books, I prefer nonfiction. Any book about a subject I like should do, but as I am a bit of a picky reader, I end up not doing it as much as I would like to.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Maybe not the kind of thing you'd usually see in this section, but moving to France to study having only 6 months of French on my back has been kinda cool.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a pretty open-minded guy, I'm open to learn a bit about anything you may like to share! As for the teaching, I could teach you a bit of Portuguese, I guess...

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Peru, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay
