About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learning the culture and flavors behind the middle east food. So if you know about local cuisine history we would have extensive conversations and, of course, great food and cooking exchanges!

ABOUT ME

I am a Brazilian chef, currently linving in Lisbon, Portugal. Previously an engineering student that got fed up with the academy and wanted to live life and personal skills at their fullest. I am in a mission to learn more about the influence that food culture changes have in our modern society.

Biking is a big part of my life as well, so biking trails/tours are very much welcome!

PERSONALITY

Open minded, always into new adventures and seeking at least a glimpse on different cultures is what drives me to be a better person. I am kind of shy even though people would say otherwise, easygoing and respectful about other people space but always willing to have some fun when it feels right!

You should look me up on instagram (@pedroschatz) to get a better idea about myself and also check out some of my photography ideas ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Besides eating tasty food (specially those really intrinsic to the regions and country), I love learning about history, getting in touch with different nature landscapes besides having a short budget (being a cook is not as glamorous as it looks haha).

I like almost any kind of music. Cult, action, drama, documentary movies. Fiction books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A trail deep inside the rainforest in Brasil beginning at early dawn and watching the blood red sunrise at the peak of a mountain after climbing up grabbing roots and hearing monkeys and all kinds of animals.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can help you if you need to learn portuguese or english. I can also help with cooking (teaching some recipies and preparing meals) and with fixing all sorts of things in the house.
