Hello, my name is PEI-HUA(Yma). I am a backpacker from Taiwan.
In past 6 years, I worked in the architecture office. Designing about the houses and studying many cases around the world.
Looking at different places is one of my interest, although working in the Taiwan's company is always very busy. That made me work under the pressure but improved my work performance and efficiency.
When graduating from school, I spent all the time working.
But visiting the whole world is my dream always in my mind.
In 2014, I decided to quit the job.
I went to Australia by using Working Holiday Visa first.
And now I am on my way!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to know the people who live in other countries. What You or they are doing, eating, playing and talking about is what I really want to do when I travel. It's not necessary to see the famous points. (but I still will go to visit such as the Opera house in Sydney, Eiffel Tower in Paris, Patagonia in Argentina...Haha)
Talking to people makes me know how much I don't know the true world...not only about travelling, but also about the real life.

Interests

I want to say travelling is one of the most important things in my life.
When arriving one place, I will find out two places. One is library, and the other is post office. (In my country it's the same)
Reading let me know the news, although the internet is everywhere. I can search what's on by websites, but that's very different from sitting in the library or bookstore!

The songs are sang by Mandarin or Taiwanese.
About movies, I am interested in Animation, such as Disney, Dreamworks and Studio Ghibli(Japan).
I like to read the children drawing books. Although the writers/ illustrators usually make the stories for children. The pictures are colorful and positive. That makes me happy and keep in mind.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am still a new backpacker, learning everything on my way.
On my way I like to send the post cards to my family and friends. Sharing what I see and what I know by drawing, that's what I can do.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can't sing, dance. Sometime maybe it's not easy for me to communicate in different language. But I like to listen and want to share what I see and my experience by drawings. Maybe that's your everyday life...
