About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I have not been able to host for many years as I was touring and then living in a caravan but I am moving in a house in December so hopefully there will be room for a couch...!

ABOUT ME

I was born daughter of two wonderful people who loved each other passionately. Both of them represent joy, curiosity, creativity, independence and freedom to me. I have been lucky enough to be supported in everything I have wanted to do as well as with what I have struggled with my whole life and I have learnt determination, freedom of choice, commitment, joy and healthy-creative-soft-madness from that privilege.
I was born in a caravan, not because we were gypsies although I love their culture, but because we were pretty poor, which never came in the way of being happy and curious nor of eating healthy, fresh, local and delicious food my whole life.
I grew up in France, in many different places as we moved 21 times in my 18 years of living at home! But always in the beautiful areas of the Alps. For many of those years we had a garden full of the most delicious, organic vegetables. We camped and hiked a lot so I was very close to nature. Until I moved to the overwhelming London City and soon after started travelling to a lot of big cities for my job.
Growing up I practised for many years horse ridding, skiing and snowboarding as well as some kayaking, climbing, caving and various nature sports.
When I was 11 I started practising circus arts as an option at school and got more and more involved as I fell in love with it straight away! We were doing all the disciplines of circus as well as some singing, contemporary danse and touring a show.
I have now been a trapeze artist professionally for 6 years and started training for it full time 10 years ago. I studied in London for three years, I toured in Europe, South America and North America for two years; I work as a freelance from Bristol in the UK and also with a french company Cirk VOST, both of which I travel to various places in Europe and internationally with.

PHILOSOPHY

Being free, learn to chill out and let go when I'm getting sucked in trying too hard, thinking about what makes me calm, alive, free and joyful, learning and improving, Getting to know and understand people and myself, face my fears, following my desires ... ... ... blablabla ... !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been a member on couch-surfing for a long time but haven't been able to use it for a while as I was touring with my job and living in a caravan when I was in Bristol.
I have hosted a lot of people when I use to live in a house in London for 5 years.
I have also been hosted a couple of times during my non business travels like when I cycled to France from Bristol and when I visited Guatemala for a month.
I has also fed me inspiration and positive feelings when going through tough times and when planning future travels so thank you to the couch-surfing community!
I am looking forward to hosting again and surfing a bit!

I am also a member of helpx and have done wwoofing, at a farm in the uk when I moved to the Bristol area in my caravan 3 years ago and payed for my rent with labour hours at the farm for 2 years; it was an amazing, calming and very therapeutic experience.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As I said above, I have hosted a few people in London and it was always very nice.
I have been hosted by Gustavo and Rebecca in Guatemala City and Antigua and THAT ... was AMASINGLY FANTASTIC !!!!!

Interests

I love spending time with my friends, meeting new people, spending time on my own, listening to music, eating good food, having long conversations, looking at the stars, walking in the mountains, dancing, philosophy, self-improvement, thinking and observing human behaviours, climbing trees, spending time with animals, playing games (particularly the french card game, tarot!!), watching movies, feeling the sun on my skin, making things, using my body, massaging etc
I am also a certified massage therapist and have a practise here in Bristol.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Watched a whale jump, on my own, in a crazy stormy weather, on the majestic and gigantic space on the hills above Puerto Piramides, in Argentina; the touristic season was completely over, there was only locals in the village during my stay and all the locals were inside their house, down in the village because there was a mad storm going on as I was watching the most beautiful and magical being give me and only me, an unbelievable and goose bumping dance of jumps...

- Being part of the company Cirk VOST because it's come out of Les Arts Sauts, who was the company and the people that made me dream during all my childhood and the lady I came in to take over originally is the lady that made me want to be a swinging trapeze artist! I would have been so in awe if I'd know that when I was 12!!!!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach/ would like to teach/ am learning/ want to learn/ believe in sharing: arts, sports, spending time in nature - respecting nature- being interested in nature and respecting it, circus skills, clowning, movement, singing, music, dance, making things with one's hands, self-esteem, meditation, massage, communication skills, languages (sign, spanish, german, japanese...), sailing etc etc!!

What I Can Share with Hosts

All the above and everything else!
Dancing, listening to music...
Discussing life, the differences and the similarities in people's lives all over the world and right where we are.
Discussing arts, life of a circus performer and the different lives of everyone.
Games, wine, good quality food, professional massages, how to believe we can make this world a better place, the difficulties in life, anything and everything
Doing outdoor activities together when there is time.
Discussing the sad, the hard, the failures (or feeling of failure), I think it is a very important for the evolution of society, for people to discuss their vulnerabilities, failures, NOT as failures but as experiences, with compassion in listening and humour as it softens the pain.
