ABOUT ME

My name is Martin; a 26 year old army veteran, seasonal commercial fisherman, graphic artist, and father of a one year old. Where I lay my head is home. I was born in the Philadelphia suburb of Bear, Delaware; and grew up between there; Oaklyn, New Jersey; and Vernon, Vermont. At eighteen it was time to leave, join the military, and begin to travel. Outside of Canada my only other international travels have been through combat deployments. This is my platform to change that and "explore. dream. discover. -Mark Twain". After multiple deployments in my first military contract I gave up the idea of it as a career altogether. Now at 26 years old, I find myself in the place I wanted to be out of high school: in my final year of college studying creative media, steady work between fishing photography and woodworking, married with a son, and the opportunity to see the world outside of myself and where I come from. I invite you to look at the world from an perspective, you may be surprised at what you see.

PHILOSOPHY

I am Pagan. I am a part of the whole of Nature. The Rocks, the Animals, the Plants, the Elements, and the Stars are my relatives. Other humans are my sisters and brothers, whatever their races, colors,genders, sexual orientations, ages, nationalities, religions, lifestyles. Planet Earth is my home. I am part of this large family of Nature, not the master of it. I have my own special part to play and I seek to discover and play that part to the best of my ability. I seek to live in harmony with others in the family of Nature, treating others with respect... I am Pagan. Nature Spirituality is my religion and my life's foundation. Nature is my spiritual teacher and holy book. I am part of Nature and Nature is part of me. My understanding of Nature's inner mysteries grows as I journey on this spiritual path.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1) That first sight of the mountains in Hawaii.
2) Spending the summers working in Alaska. From the tough work of fishing, brisk wind, and choppy seas to the beautiful sunsets, frontier freedom, and deck loads.
3) 15 months occupying Hawijah Iraq with the US Army. The good and the bad.
