CURRENT MISSION

Try to enjoy life. There's plenty of work that can be done, but you can never enjoy life enough. Having a family sometimes poses certain restrictions, but trying to navigate through the challenges.

ABOUT ME

I'm generally a relaxed guy. I like to hang out with some friends and see new things. But also sometimes it's nice to just sit home and watch a movie and do nothing. I just need to find the right balance.

Some people like my sense of humour and some don't. Sometimes it might be a bit strange but I try to be gentle with newcomers :)

I usually dislike dancing, cooking and people not having the courage to be themselves. I love sleeping, drinking beer, some sports and - of course - my wife.

PHILOSOPHY

No need to stress. Things usually work out in some way anyway in the end - I have seen too many people stressing about this and that and they completely forget to enjoy life meanwhile.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Started cs'ing in Pristina, Kosovo in 2009. Fell in love. After that was surfing in Bratislava, Slovakia and Vienna, Austria. And list goes on... All experiences are very great. Different but great :)

My active CS'ing started only when I moved to Riga in 2011. Before that I had lots of other student organization things in Finland so didn't have time for much else (maybe a bit of studying every now and then also). Now that I live back in Helsinki again with my family.

I used to organize (and participate in) CS meetings quite much, but not so much anymore as I have family and such responsibilities. I'm also not participating in the CS meetings anymore in Helsinki.

兴趣

Traveling, meeting people, seeing things, learning cultures. Reading, watching movies, being lazy and unproductive. Oh, and of course beer!

Typically I just listen to some radio. Movies would be a long list, but not maybe the romantic comedies so much...

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Doing an intersnhip in Jaipur, India. The place is just... well, different! It was really interesting to see how things are there. But, also, it was quite great to get back home then. But a great experience in any case.
Also doing a studying exchange in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Was pretty great, meeting similarily-minded people from all over the world.

Maybe Finnish? :) Oh come on, the language is impossible. So besides learning 'beer' and 'cheers', I suggest not to try going deeper :)

I have been traveling quite much and of course there's always stories around of travels. Perhaps we've even been in some same places and can share similar experiences?
