About Me

ABOUT ME

I love to be with positve minded people. I have been so blessed to have traveled to Hawaii, 3 or 4 times, Mexico (2 1/2 months) with my 3 teenagers (west to east coast), most countries in Europe, Morrocco, Thailand and Burma. We had a family from Cambodia live with us for a year when their country was invaded. Also a young girl from Persia (Iran) lived with us a year. I love to talk about this. I've been involved in our community thru my childrens business, graphic design. I have met so many wonderful people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am now 74 and running low on energy. BUT I finally bought a self contained Roadtrek van, only 19 feet and love to run away to the beach and am hoping to find a kind person that will let me park by their house. Oh how I love to talk about my travels but I try to write my adventures. Too bad that is not one of my talents. HA. I live in Morgan Hill, close by in my tree house but love the negative ions of the ocean.

Interests

I love my home. I live in a cabin in the mountains on a steep hill under the oak trees. As I lay in bed or from my frontroom all I can see are the top half of the trees. So I tell everyone I live in a treehouse. Swiss Family Robinson was always one of my favorites. I love to garden (not real good), sew and read Mother Earth Magazine in a swing. Today I canned1 14 pints of carrots. I wish I had a friend to discuss these articles and build things with, like a soda can solar heater. My mother, age 90, has been with me for 3 years and keeps me busy. I love to run away to the beach and heal in the breeze.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first hike thru Prarie Creek State Park in Northern Ca. I just knew someone had laid out every tree and fern. It made me cry. Also a mother bathing her 6 month old baby in a small bucket on the river in Bangkok. There are too many to list.
