Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: The Shawshank Redemption, Closer, Fight Club, What Dreams May Come, Up. Dramas are my favorites. And I love horror movies, even (especially?) the bad ones.

Music: I’m pretty open when it comes to music, but I tend to gravitate towards mellow rock (acoustic, folk, countryish, anything with piano) and indie/pop. Naming some names: Matt Nathanson, Counting Crows, Augustana, Nine Days, The Fratellis, Andrew McMahon, The 1975, Grouplove, Damien Rice, Scissor Sisters, Benjy Davis. I'm willing to see literally anyone in concert, as long as I have the time and the funds. Live music, yesssss!

Books: Stephen King has been a favorite author of mine since I was probably too young to be reading him. I love Heather McElhatton's Pretty Little Mistakes and Million Little Mistakes -- choose your own adventure for adults! I like what I've read by Margaret Atwood. I occasionally go for trashy romance novels. I also enjoy non-fiction about the social sciences.
