关于我
CURRENT MISSION
Meeting people in International Geneva :)
ABOUT ME
I am a kind of weird mixture between a mother from Spanish/Turkish origins and my dad from Swiss/German ones. But above all, I am a Britton, born and raised in Brittany, the Western part of France. Oh, and yeah, maybe French as well.
But I also feel Australian, for I've studied a year in Sydney after wanting to go there for a while. My heart still skips a beat when I see a photo of the Opera House, like it did since I was 13, when I was talking about Australia on and on but mostly about Drazic from Hartley High because I thought he was the love of my life. Yes, I know. Teenagers are lame. Britney Spears was my model as well. And I was wearing those red puma shoes that I thought I would wear for the rest of my life, or at least til I was 28.
Rough years!
Luckily I've changed since then. I'm not dancing ominous moves in my bedroom on "Overprotected" feeling that the only person that could really get me was Brit-brit. And I got other shoes as well, thank god.
I'm a pretty outgoing person and I always have to make random jokes when I meet people. I simply can't help it. So sorry in advance for that :)
PHILOSOPHY
I'm pretty existentialist, for I don't believe that there is a trail designed for each of us that has to be followed. I obviously don't cope with fatalism. It is what to you do that makes you who you are, and not the contrary.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've never actually used my account properly (got pretty lazy when I came down to write a description) so I've hosted people a couple of times through my former roomate account. I feel really ashamed of my 0% rate of reply, but I didn't use CS for a while. I want to make a change though.
Anyway, the people we've hosted were simply amazing and I keep a great memory of their stay.
Unfortunately I never had the chance to experience being hosted.I hope someday I'll have the chance to do it!
I used CS this summer when I was in Rome for an internship, to meet locals and it was AWESOME, I met amazing people there! Now I'm back in Lyon, where I've been for about 5 years, but I'm really happy to meet people there as well and show them stuff around :)
兴趣
I like music, I listen to it a lot. I like singing as well, and I've been trying to play the guitar for years to sing along, but it is actually amazing how sometimes mother nature gives you an anti-gift. I literally suck as a guitar player, I have happened to record myself playing guitar to hear what I sounded like. Listening to it was like one of the most depressing times of my life. I have a tremendous admiration for people that can actually play guitar.
I like sharing time with people I love, getting to know more about them, their anecdotes, their most embarrassing stories, their fantastic love stories or their crappy ones. Life without friends is like an empty book; you have the material but you don't have the inspiration to write in it.
I like traveling. Before settling in Rome, I was traveling with Aussie friends in Copenhagen, Helsinki and Berlin. I loved those places. I had heard about Berlin a lot and I feared that my expectation might be too high. Well, from the slap in the face when I set foot there, I daresay they were not.
There is so much for me to see everywhere. The traveling distances in Australia made me realize how lucky we were in Europe to have so many different cultures and histories on our Continent. But I'm greedy. Once I'm done with Europe, I wanna go to Asia, particularly in South East Asia, not forgetting India to which I am particularly attracted to. Latin America too, and Africa as well.
Ok, I want to travel pretty much everywhere, but I need time, and time is money, and I don't have money. Oh, well.
I want to know more about human beings. I'm pretty curious in discovering cultures and ways of life without of course generalizing about them, because we are all complex in our individualities. Human actions interest me, that is why anthropologist studies interest me. I had the chance to study genocides in a class, and it did have an impact on my thinking. I found it so interesting to try to understand how people can act so differently in a certain situation. Of course it is an unsolvable question, but the depth of such interrogations are worth the thinking to me.

音乐、电影和书籍
When it comes down to music, I particularly love rock and pop like Jeff Buckley, Muse, Metric, Oasis, Radiohead. I also love Cocorosie, Sia, Pink Martini, Ben Harper etc...
My favourite song is Stairway to Heaven from Led Zeppelin. It is the epitome of musical perfection to me.
Concerning books, I really like Albert Camus, Jean-Paul Sartre but my favorite author might be Milan Kundera that I recommend to all of you.
One of the movies that moved me the most so far is Cria Cuervos from Carlos Saura, a Spanish movie dealing with the years under Franco. I love Pedro Almodovar movies' as well. As probably a French person out of two might say, I love "L'auberge espagnole" from Cedric Klapisch which narrates the adventures of a French guy in exchange in Barcelona for a year. I really loved the poetry within Goodbye Lenin. Finally, I found Fight Club to be extremely thought-provoking.
